Every once in a while I get in the mood for a very soft-looking manicure. But I'm usually also in the mood for something super quick and super easy because I'm SUPER lazy. This time around, I opted for some cling wrap marble in some very soft colors. I wanted something kinda opalescent.

New Year's Eve Nail Art
I am in serious awe of the fact that it's the end of 2015. This year has absolutely flown by. It wasn't a terribly remarkable year but it was a good one, nonetheless. Who has a resolution for next year? I do! My resolution for 2016 is to be more organized which includes having a more organized blog posting schedule. There were several times this past year where I fell behind in posting and sometimes even doing my nails at all. Then I get sad. Well, next year will be better!
On to my new year's eve nails. I wanted something fun and festive, obviously, so glitter had to be a part of the design.

Fall Stamping
The weather has been just amazing here in Michigan! It's been cool, some rain (my favorite) and even a flurry or two one morning at 4am! This is, by far, my favorite time of year. Naturally, my color schemes for nails and makeup change accordingly. Here and there I'll still have a yearning for something bright but mostly I lean toward deeper, richer colors.

Born Pretty Review
It's review time! This time I'm reviewing a stamping plate I received from Born Pretty Store and I am so excited to share it with you. I love stamping plates! They've always been great for a quick mani but they're turning into something more and more versatile with different stamping techniques. Today's design used some reverse stamping along with regular stamping and I am thrilled with the results!
*I received this product in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine.

Just a Quickie : Halloween Glitter Gradient
I got a late start on my nails tonight (hence, the simple design) so I don't have time for a long post. I also changed the watermark to a more festive, Halloween-y font! Like it!? I do!
Base Color - Sally Hansen Black Heart
Glitter - Pure Ice Take Me Now

31dc2014 Day 6 - Violet
I was at a loss for what do to for today's prompt. Hubby suggested, "...that thing where you spray alcohol in water and dip your finger in it!" Ha ha. So, water spotting it is! I thought this was an opportune time to use my newest Blurple, OPI Do You Have This Color in Stockholm.

31DC2014 Day 2 - Orange
Orange is my favorite color so I always love wearing my orange polishes. I already knew which orange I wanted to use for this prompt. Fall is fast approaching and the weather is changing accordingly. I have the perfect orange nail polish for this time of year.

Pretty Stripes
Have you ever had one of those days that just goes so poorly that you know the rest of the week is just going to suck? So have I. But today was not one of those days. Today was a great day. As a matter of fact, yesterday was great, too! I know this is going to be a good week!
I've recently decided to stop letting unimportant people in my life dictate my mood and feelings. Since then, I've been much happier. When I'm not worried about those people, I can focus more on the things that really matter!
My two good days in a row put me in the mood for a fun, girly, sparkly manicure. I couldn't decide on just one girly polish, so I chose three!

For Tracy
One of my favorite things about my marriage is my relationship with my in-laws. I'm glad that I married into a family that I get along with so well. As a matter of fact, one of my favorite people in the whole world is my sister-in-law, Tracy.
When she and her husband lived in Michigan I would go to her place and we would sit around and literally do nothing for hours and it was such a great time. I have always been completely comfortable around her and my friendship with her, and her husband, is one I will always treasure. The day that they moved to Nebraska was so sad for us because our closest friends were now living 12 hours away.
I've really been missing Tracy lately so I thought I would do some nail art inspired by her. Everyone who knows Tracy knows about her love of frogs. They are pretty awesome, to be honest. And fittingly enough, her favorite color is green! How perfect for a frog inspired manicure?

Spotted Marble
I started out doing this design wanting a simple cling wrap marble. After the fact, I decided that I had to add something to it. Of course, I chose polka dots.

My Absence
It's been over a week since my last post! I have good reasons, though. My nails have taken a back seat to the newest love of my life.
This is Oswin! Isn't that just the sweetest face?! Ugh, he's too precious! He's a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and he is just a ball of energy. Being only 8 weeks old, he takes up almost all of my spare time. He's so worth it, though!
I wanted to do something puppy related with my nails and remembered that I had some puppy themed nail decals in my stash. I found them at Five Below and have had them for months.
The base color is Pure Ice Alter Ego. Aren't those decals adorable? I love them. The best part was that this only took a few minutes (with Seche Vite speeding things up) so I could squeeze it in while Oswin napped!

Sesame Street Twinsies
Heather came over today to have a little girly hang time so, of course, I had to do her nails. I asked her what she wanted me to do and, after a little time with Google, she decided that she wanted blue nails with a glitter Cookie Monster accent. I was happy to oblige! Then, I asked her what I should do with my nails and she suggested Oscar the Grouch nails to match!

V-Day #2
I love Valentine's Day so much! I'm a hopeless romantic; you know the type. I love getting flowers, leaving cheesy notes for hubby, surprising him with gifts here and there, getting surprises... That's why Valentine's Day is probably my second-most favorite holiday. All of the sappy things I love to do that usually make people scrunch their faces in disgust (or maybe jealousy, ha ha) are perfectly acceptable on V-Day! That's why I'm doing nothing but Valentine's Day nails until the 14th!
Today's design is a little more on the simpler side...

Neutral & Glitter
Today, I was in the mood to do something subtle and neutral with my nails. I opened one of my polish drawers and, instantly, saw OPI Berlin There Done That. I love this color and almost forgot that I had it.

31DC2013 Day 22 - Inspired by a song
I knew going into this challenge that when I got to this prompt, I was going to have my husband pick the song. I don't really know why but I knew that he would be able to name something good right off the top of his head. I was right. With less than 30 seconds thought, he said, "I got one but you're really gonna have to pull something out of your hat for it." He chose She's a Beauty by The Tubes. It's his favorite 80s song. I, too, love the song but I had no idea what I should do! After I listened to the song, I decided to take my inspirations directly from the music video.

31DC2013 Day 12 - Stripes
Since I love patters, today's challenge prompt was another one I was excited about. Stripes are fun! I knew I wanted glitter stripes so I chose the glitter first and then chose the base color to match.

Color Changing
A couple weeks ago, I got two new Funky Fingers polishes. They are from the Solar Collection and they change colors in reaction to sunlight. Cool, right?! Unfortunately, I kept forgetting about them until it was too dark to try them out. On the rare occasion that I would remember, it was rainy and cloudy. Well, today it's sunny and I remembered! Whoo hoo! My only concern was whether or not a top coat would alter the color changing effect of the nail polish. So, for your viewing pleasure, I have not only created a pretty cool little manicure for you, but I've also compared between top coat and no top coat.
