Christmas Glitter Gradient

This design is going up extremely late but I had a busy day of errands and visiting with my mother-in-law. I didn't get home until midnight and, because I am the world's most indecisive person, I didn't get done with my nails until 1:30am. Not because it was a difficult or time-consuming. It definitely wasn't. I just went through three other design ideas before I settled on this one.

31DC2015 Day 9 - Rainbow Nails

Very short post today because IT'S MY WEDDING ANNIVERSARY TODAY! YAY! Anyway, today is rainbow nails and I went super quick and simple with it.

The base is Sally Hansen Celeb City. A light coat of Ulta Pinata-Yada was next. Then I dabbed some OPI Rainbow Connection near the cuticle to create a glitter gradient effect.

This is another design from a few weeks ago that I never got around to posting. Actually, I didn't post it right away because I wasn't all that thrilled with it, initially. I remember it eventually grew on me but I completely forgot about posting it, by that point.

I was in the mood for something super sparkly the other day with some eye-catching color. Whenever I'm in that mood, I find myself reaching for Julep's Wanderlust collection. I bought the entire collection and I they are some of my favorites. The colors are bright, happy, and sparkly just the way I like 'em!

Late New Year's Nails

I don't know how exactly I forgot to post these nails, but I did them on New Year's Eve. Obviously, I meant to get them up before the first but that didn't happen. Well, I figured that it wouldn't hurt to share them anyway.

I did two designs because I wasn't happy with the first one. Well, looking back at the photos, I love them both now, so I'm sharing both designs with you!

Snowy Nails

So, I actually did these nails a few days ago when many of us, in the US, were getting snowed on. It definitely snowed in Michigan but we didn't get nearly the amount that some places did. 50-70 inches?! I love snow, don't get me wrong, but that's excessive. Ha ha! (The snow has since melted and we've got 50 degree rainy weather now.)

Anyway, I had just picked up some fun new Funky Fingers polishes that just screamed for a snow-themed mani!

Just a Quickie : Halloween Glitter Gradient

I got a late start on my nails tonight (hence, the simple design) so I don't have time for a long post. I also changed the watermark to a more festive, Halloween-y font! Like it!? I do!

Them Bones...

One of my favorite Halloween decorations is this cardboard skeleton that I hang on the wall. He has hinged joints so you can pose him. There's something both creepy and fun about skeletons. Considering how much I love monochromatic manicures, I thought it would be fun to do a bone themed design!

Happy belated Birthday USA

With my family being in town, things have been so hectic. Every day included some sort of activity so there's been zero time for blogging. :( Sadly, they left this morning. Now, it's time to settle back into a normal routine which includes NAILS!

Yesterday was Independence Day and we celebrated with a trip to the Detroit Zoo (and a picnic) and then a nice barbecue dinner. Holiday nails are some of my favorite designs so, albeit a day late, I have to post some pretty patriotic nails!

A Little Metal

A few weeks ago, I ordered these small metal spike studs from The Born Pretty Store and I've been itching to use them. They're so fun and edgy. I just haven't been sure of what I wanted to do with them. Well, while listening to the radio, a Metallica song came on and I knew what I had to do. It couldn't be more perfect! Hubby and I are both big Metallica fans and I knew he would get a kick out of a design inspired by one of his favorite bands.

Neutral & Glitter

Today, I was in the mood to do something subtle and neutral with my nails. I opened one of my polish drawers and, instantly, saw OPI Berlin There Done That. I love this color and almost forgot that I had it. 

Christmas Post #3 - Christmas Glitter!

Well, we are in the last two week stretch before Christmas! Since there are only days left to show our holiday cheer, all of my posts from here until the 25th will be Christmas designs. I have a lot of fun ideas and I can't wait to share them with you all!

For today's design I did something simple but SUPER sparkly!

Holo & Glitter

I got another Nfu-oh holographic polish in the mail the other day. I love them so much. The holo effect is so strong and they are a pretty large bottle of polish. I think holographic polishes are one of my favorite finishes. It's such a unique effect and it's very attention grabbing. Anytime I wear one, I get tons of compliments. So, as soon as I got it, I had to use it!

Go Huskers!

Now, I am by no means a football fan. Don't think I ever will be. My sister-in-law and her husband, on the other hand, love it. Specifically, Huskers football. They both live in Nebraska and are here for a visit for the next week. I thought I would do a Nebraska Cornhuskers inspired manicure in their honor.

I used Wet n Wild I Red a Good Book and NYC French White Tip for my base colors. The glitter gradient is done with loose white glitter. I used a nail art brush and Art Club White to paint on the Huskers logo. I love the way this turned out!
