Born Pretty Review

I was recently contacted by Born Pretty Store about reviewing some of their nail art products. Today I'm sharing one of those reviews with you.

*Disclaimer: I received this product in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine.

These multicolored round matte glitters (which you can find here) were something I was very excited to try out. They looked like confetti so I was curious to see what I could do with them. What I ended up doing was a glitter gradient type design and I'm pretty thrilled with how it turned out.

I wanted a base color that would complement the pastel-neon (does that make sense?) colors of the glitters. I chose Red Caret Manicure Overnight Sensation. To attach the glitters, I used a toothpick to place a dab of topcoat and the same toothpick to place the glitters. Afterwards, I just sealed with topcoat.

The glitters come in a variety of colors (including blue, pink, yellow, orange, green and purple) and two sizes (1mm and 2mm). The glitters are very thin so, even though they aren't curved at all, they sit relatively flat on the nail. If you use a slightly thicker coat of topcoat, you can still get a smooth finish with no edges sticking up. This will, of course, make them stay on your nails longer. The glitters are also a bit translucent but I actually liked it because it added a little dimension to my layered design.

The only issue I had was that the colored layer came off of one side of a couple of the glitters. But, since they are translucent, the color still came through a bit; they just looked a little bit lighter. It wasn't all that noticeable on the nails so it didn't bother me.

Overall, I'm very happy with these confetti glitters and I can definitely see myself using them over and over again! If you'd like to order these or anything else from Born Pretty Store, be sure to use my coupon code VWL91 for 10% off of all regular priced items!
