Christmas Movie Nails

When I decided to do this 12 days of Christmas nail art thing, I knew right away that I wanted to do one design based on a Christmas movie. The thing is, there are SOOOO many Christmas movies out there! You've got your Christmas Classics like It's a Wonderful Life, White Christmas, and A Christmas Story. There are those awesome old Christmas claymations like A Year Without Santa Clause, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and Santa Clause is Coming to Town. But then you've got those newer movies that become instant classics.

It didn't take me long to chose a movie. Can you tell what it is? I'll give you a hint...
"Bye, Buddy! Hope you find your dad!"

Holographic Fall Nails

Being that fall is my favorite season of them all, I'm so sad that we're only a month away from the first day of winter. Granted, it starts feeling like winter much earlier than mid December here, but in my heart, it's still autumn and I'm savoring it. We have a beautiful red maple tree in our yard and the leaves are sprinkled all over the place and it's so pretty.

One of my favorite things lately has been my drive home from work. It's been so windy and when the wind catches all of the fallen leaves, they swirl across the roads and around the cars. It feels like the scene in Pocahontas when she stands in the breeze with the leaves and her hair swirling around.

I seriously love autumn. I wanted to do a manicure that screamed fall but still had some simplicity to it. So, I grabbed two holo polishes. You know, because it can't be TOO simple. ;)

31DC2016 Day 28 - Inspired by a Flag

Short post today.

I knew I wanted to base today's design on a fictional flag. With the help of my little sister I landed on the Star Trek flag of the Federation.

The base color is Cult Nails Time Traveler and the white accents are Kiss Nail Art Paint in white.

31DC2016 Day 25 - Inspired by Fashion

I always enjoy this prompt in the challenge. I usually choose a Betsey Johnson design to base a mani on but I wanted to do something different this time around. I chose a design from Arthur Arbesser's 2017 Spring ready-to-wear line.

31DC2016 Day 22 - Inspired by a Song

I knew right off the bat that I wanted to use a song from Spongebob Squarepants for today's prompt. Some people think I'm too old for Spongebob and I don't care. Anyway, I went back and forth between a few song choices and I settled on the FUN song from the very first season. Fun fact: my alarm clock in high school was a Spongebob one that played that song.

On to the nail art!

Tumblr Milestone

I'm back! It's been a while but I'm back! Yay!

Not too long ago, I reached 1,000 followers on Tumblr! It's a small milestone for some but I'm pretty excited. To celebrate my little milestone, I thought I'd do a Tumblr themed manicure. I wanted to keep the design fairly simple and I'm seriously digging how it turned out.

New Year's Eve Nail Art

I am in serious awe of the fact that it's the end of 2015. This year has absolutely flown by. It wasn't a terribly remarkable year but it was a good one, nonetheless. Who has a resolution for next year? I do! My resolution for 2016 is to be more organized which includes having a more organized blog posting schedule. There were several times this past year where I fell behind in posting and sometimes even doing my nails at all. Then I get sad. Well, next year will be better!

On to my new year's eve nails. I wanted something fun and festive, obviously, so glitter had to be a part of the design.

Textured Nails with Spiderweb Accent

I can't do Halloween manicures without using some of my Halloween themed nail polishes, right? One of those polishes is China Glaze But of Corpse (don't we all just love those pun nail polish names?). I really love this one and decided to do a very very simple design with it.

Jack-o-lantern Cuties

One of my all-time favorite nail art designs that I've posted was my Halloween Ghosts design from last year. It was just adorable and I enjoyed wearing it so much. Today, I seriously considered recreating that design but chose, instead, to do something similar but with Jack-o-lanterns!

31DC2015 Day 29 - Inspired by the Supernatural

For today's prompt, instead of choosing a supernatural inspiration, I created a design based around the show Supernatural. Specifically, around my favorite character from the show, Castiel. Now, Cas is an angel and I think that qualifies as a supernatural being, so I still qualify, right? :)

If you've never watched Supernatural and/or you aren't familiar with Castiel, this design will make no sense to you. Sorry.

31DC2015 Day 16 - Geometric

I knew right away that I wanted to do something with circles for the geometric prompt. I have never been good at freehanding circles and I wanted to get some practice. So, when it came time, all I had to do was choose my colors.

31DC2015 Day 14 - Flowers

I played around with a lot of different types of flower designs for today's prompt. I've been yearning for fall inspired nail art as of late but flowers make me think of spring. So I went full on spring with this one! :)

31DC2015 Day 2 - Orange Nails

Orange is my favorite color! Yay orange! I asked my bestie, Heather, this morning what she thought I should do for today's prompt. She instantly said, "Creamsicles!" I thought it was a great idea! Summer may be winding down but it isn't gone yet! I knew right away what I wanted to do.

Holo & Roses

For some reason, I really really wanted to do some floral nails. There was nothing that prompted it, it just needed to happen. After some thought, I decided to do something with roses. I still wasn't sure on the game plan but some sifting through my nail polish stash quickly solved that problem. After I picked out some colors, a design idea worked its way into my brain and, eventually, onto my fingertips!
