31DC2013 Day 6 - Violet Nails

This idea actually came from my friend, Trisha. She asked me to do a camouflage design on her nails and we ended up not actually getting a chance to do so. I have plenty of purple polishes so I thought camo nail art would be a great way to use some of them.

The base color for this is OPI Planks a Lot. Using a dotting tool, I layered random "blobs" over each other in Funky Fingers Riot, Julep Anne, NYC Manhattan, and more of Planks a Lot. Once I was happy with the patterns, I mattified them using Julep Matte Top Coat. I also did a glossy finish

 I like both finishes but I think I prefer the matte.
