Are there certain types of nail art that you avoid for one reason or another. One of my favorite nail art techniques is splatter nails but I usually talk myself out of it because of the mess. It's such a cool and unique effect but it is SUCH a mess. But I love it too much so I had to give in and do one.

Festive Striped French
It's almost here; are you excited? I'm not as into Christmas as a lot of people are but there are some things I love about it. One thing the gift-giving. I don't care so much about receiving them but I love giving them. Mostly because I think I'm great at it. I don't ask people what they want for Christmas. I like to find that perfect gift all on my own and I DO NOT give gift cards. I'm especially excited about the gifts I got my friends and family this year. I think I've really nailed it. I also LOVE wrapping presents.
Today's Christmas design is something simple and sparkly and it reminds me of pretty Christmas wrapping.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I had a vision in my head for this manicure. I knew exactly what I wanted it to look like. I had the colors picked out and was so excited to make it a reality.
Meh. I wasn't thrilled. It's pretty, don't get me wrong. Oddly enough, I think I like it better in photographs than in real life. The dark green is OPI Here Today...Aragon Tomorrow. The shamrocks I just pained on in Color Club Ho Ho Holly. The accent nail is Butter London The Full Monty. I will say this, though; I am not usually a fan of gold. At all. I've never thought it looked flattering against my skin. When I saw The Full Monty, it looked like a soft gold foil with a lot of silver shimmer. I figured I'd give it a shot. I love it. It's such a soft shade of gold and I think it looks fantastic. That's about all I like about this manicure. So, I did a new one. :)
This, I love! I started with Butter London Trustafarian. This is a gorgeous sage green holographic. The tips and the shamrock are Ho Ho Holly again. This looks way way way better, at least in my mind. :) Happy St. Paddy's Day, everyone!

Christmas and feathers!
As much as I loved my last manicure, by this morning I was already bored with it. That may have had something to do with the fact that I bought a new polish today. Color Club Ho Ho Holly. Hubbs helped me pick this one out. There were several that I wanted but we went with the green. Let me just tell you, this color is GORGEOUS! It's a wonderful cool green with heavy green/blue shimmer. The formula is lovely and the application was very smooth. If all of Color Club's polishes are this nice, I want more for sure. Oh, and another thing. Ho Ho Holly is scented! Crazy, right? I didn't realize until after it dried but it smells a bit like pine.
Anyway, I decided to do a simpler manicure but still using Christmas colors. Naturally, I went with green and red.
Of course, the green is the Ho Ho Holly. The red is OPI Danke-Shiny Red. For an accent, I did a feather nail on the ring finger. I think it turned out really nice.
