Fun With A Striping Brush

I knew exactly where I was headed going into this manicure. I just didn't know what to call it. I still don't, for that matter. I did know, however, what colors I wanted to use and that I needed a striping brush...

I used three colors for this design. I started with a base of Sally Hansen Blue Me Away. Over half of my nail, I used Wet n Wild I Red a Good Book. It's normally a very bright red but over the blue, it darkened a bit, which I actually love. The third color is Art Club Purple Rain which is a neon purple. It's brush just so happens to be a striper, so, yay! I swept the brush back and forth over the middle of my nail to get the jagged design.
Now, being a neon, PR is a bit sheer. In person, you can't see the "seam" between the blue and red nearly as much as you can in the photo. Also, being that my camera HATES purples (especially bright ones), the purple didn't photograph true to color at all. I still love the way it looks, though!
