Simple Dot Floral

I stopped by Sally Beauty Supply today because they were having a BOGO sale on their nail polish and, frankly, I wanted to load up. I told myself that I was only getting six but then I found the clearance nail polishes and snatched up two more. Hubby came with and picked out a few of the colors for me.

One of the new colors I got (which Hubby loves) is China Glaze But of Corpse. He wanted me to use it right away; I wanted to do something floral.

Bright & Springy

I felt extra girly today. I took a little extra time on my makeup, left my hair a little curly and wore a big flower in it, and wore my flirtiest earrings (which perfectly matched the cute turquoise top I wore). So, when it came time to do my nails, I wanted something just as girly. And since it's an absolutely GORGEOUS day, I wanted something floral. As it just so happens, I picked up a pack of nail art decals the other day at the grocery store and one of the designs in it were the perfect flowers for what I had in mind.

Springy Goodness

What do you guys think of the new look? I wanted something a little sharper and cleaner looking. On to today's manicure...

Today was an absolutely GORGEOUS day here in Michigan. The sky was clear and the sun was out. It only hit 60 degrees out but that was better than the snow flurries we got yesterday. It was so lovely out, that it inspired some spring themed nails. I even got to take the pictures outside!

Are these precious or what? I had so much fun doing these! The background is a gradient using Sally Hansen Blue Me Away and Funky Fingers Cyclone Sky. For the grass and the flower stems/leaves, I used a small paintbrush and NYC High Line Green. The flowers are done with a dotting tool, OPI Planks a Lot, NYC Times Square Tangerine Creme, ORLY Fancy Fuchsia, and Julep Blake (for the middles).

I love being inspired by the weather and Mother Nature. There are so many possibilities!
