Born Pretty Review

I'm coming at you today with a product review from the Born Pretty Store.

*I received this product in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine.

This multi chrome powder is $2.99 for 2ml of product. You can find it here. There is only the one color option but it works nicely with different colored polishes and will create different effects depending on the base you use. It's very easy to use.

This is the powder over top of Red Carpet Manicure Entourage. I waited until it was mostly dry but still tacky. I used my finger to apply the powder to my ring finger. I literally just tapped it into the powder and lightly rubbed it onto the nail. I used a fan brush to sweep away the excess. I used the same fan brush to lightly brush a little bit of the powder onto the rest of my nails in a kind of gradient from the cuticles. (I wanted to see if you could use it in different ways.)

I took this over a month ago when I played with it for the first time. The base is Studio M Silver Lake. I used a paintbrush to apply the powder this time. As you can see, it did not apply as smooth. It looks rather more like a glitter. Still pretty.

As a multi chrome, I think the effect is stronger over the light base. It is stunning, though, either way. Now, chrome powders and multi chrome powders are a HUGE trend right now. In the scope of such powders, this powder is not the most finely milled so you will not get that flawless, glassy finish; it does not have a gritty finish, though. And it has a nice sparkle to it. Also, I used this powder with regular nail polish and Seche Vite. No gels. It did not, as far as I could tell, diminish or change the finish whatsoever.
